Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to ensure that wheeled vehicles are ready for the road. You will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop, inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and replacing systems and components.

Earn while you learn with paid training, 10 weeks of Basic Training, and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles associated trailers and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems.
