Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance on wheeled vehicles in the field and shop. You will inspect, service, repair, test, and replace components, and conduct recovery operations as needed.

Equipment maintenance extends to electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and charging systems. You will lead tasks, benefit from paid training, and earn a regular paycheck during drill weekends. Enlistment requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and starting and charging systems.
