Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance on wheeled vehicles in field and shop settings. You will inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, and replace components, and carry out recovery operations and electrical system servicing.

You will develop skills for civilian careers in service stations, auto dealers, or construction equipment companies while earning a regular paycheck and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ages 17–35 must be met.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair wheeled vehicles and trailers.
• Perform recovery operations and servicing of electrical systems.
• Maintain and test wiring harnesses and charging systems.
