Job summary

Matheny Medical and Educational Center is seeking a Full-Time Wheelchair Technician in New Jersey. You will fabricate, assemble, and repair wheelchairs and related adaptive equipment under the direction of the Head Technician, and operate fabrication tools safely.

Applicants should have mechanical aptitude, and some experience with power and manual wheelchairs is preferred. The position offers competitive pay on an hourly basis, plus a benefits package and opportunities for CEU development.

Qualifications

• Must have (or exhibits) mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Must complete at least 10 hours of rehabilitation-specific CEU’s annually.
• Experience working on power and manual wheelchairs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, assembles, and repairs wheelchairs and related equipment under the Head Technician.
• Operates equipment (band saw, table saw, router, drill press) for fabrication and maintenance.
