Job summary

Agency for Persons with Disabilities seeks a Maintenance Mechanic – Therapies to maintain and repair adaptive devices used throughout the facility. You will fabricate, assemble, and modify equipment from schematics, using a range of materials and tools.

Responsibilities include welding, machining, and repairing diverse devices, reading wiring diagrams, and collaborating with medical professionals to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with aluminum and steel welding and fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot 6-, 12-, and 24-volt DC systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and fabricate adaptive equipment.
• Work from schematics to construct devices using wood, plastics, foam and upholstery.
• Weld components using arc, MIG or other welders.
• Troubleshoot and repair DC systems; read electrical schematics.
• Order and inventory welding parts and supplies.
• Ensure safety during fabrication and maintenance work.
