Huntleigh USA at Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is seeking Passenger Service Attendants (Wheelchair Agents) to provide wheelchair assistance and exceptional customer service. Positions available full-time and part-time in a fast-paced airport setting.

Responsibilities include safely transporting passengers, coordinating with airline staff, and maintaining professional conduct while adhering to TSA procedures. Training is provided and shifts include AM, PM, and closing hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED may be required at some locations (applicants over 18 years of age).
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Reliable telephone for communication.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable) and participate in random testing as required.

• Provide exceptional customer service while assisting passengers with mobility needs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and gate agents regarding passenger assignments.
• Assist passengers by providing airport information and directions.
• Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with passengers, airline personnel, and the public.
• Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security screening procedures and airport regulations.
• Complete wheelchair logs documenting passenger assistance.
• Report accidents, incidents, or unusual events according to company procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

As a Passenger Service Attendant, you will play an essential role in ensuring passengers who require wheelchair assistance receive safe, courteous, and timely service throughout the airport.

Position Summary

The Passenger Service Attendant is responsible for safely transporting passengers requiring wheelchair assistance while providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a professional image. Team members work closely with airline personnel, dispatchers, and airport staff to deliver a positive travel experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, and push wheelchairs throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, or support up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Required Training

• Complete all Huntleigh USA and airline-required training programs before performing job duties.
• Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.

Professional Appearance Standards

• Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
• Adhere to company uniform requirements.
• No facial piercings.
• No tattoos below the wrist or above the neck.
