Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You’ll inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, and replace components, and you may perform recovery operations and electrical system servicing.

Earn While You Learn: you’ll train while getting paid, with 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles associated trailers and material handling equipment systems
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems
