Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance on wheeled vehicles in the field and shop, ensuring readiness for the road. You’ll inspect, service, repair, and test systems, including electrical wiring and charging components, and participate in recovery operations as needed.

Expect 10 weeks of Basic Training plus 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers, and material handling equipment.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and charging systems.
