Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. You will inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, and replace components and also work on electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and charging systems.

Earn while you learn with paid training, 10 weeks of Basic Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Qualifications

• Military enlistment is required.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Ages 17–35.
• Must pass physical exam and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles and trailers and material handling equipment systems.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, and starting/charging systems.
