Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, and replacing vehicle systems and components.

You will gain hands-on experience, earn while you learn with paid training, and qualify for tuition assistance. Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training are required.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers and material handling equipment systems
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems
