Job summary

Hornblower Corp. seeks an experienced Captain to oversee the saft operation, maintenance, and safety of the vessel and its crew. You will supervise daily activities, ensure COI compliance, and train crew members while maintaining company policies and regulatory standards.

The role requires a 100-TON Master Inland or higher license, TWIC, First Aid/CPR, and a Marine Radio Operator Permit. Strong safety focus and teamwork are essential for this leadership position.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a 100-TON Master Inland or higher license.
  • TWIC, First Aid/CPR.
  • Marine Radio Operator Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee safe and efficient operation and navigation of the vessel.
  • Ensure vessel is properly manned per COI and maintain passenger counts.
  • Train crew and ensure compliance with USCG and company policies.
  • Report accidents or incidents promptly using approved forms.
  • Maintain vessel appearance and oversee preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct safety drills and daily job briefings; log activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and emergency plans.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
