Job summary

Washington Gas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning and delivery of high-impact strategic initiatives and major infrastructure projects across the U.S. Utilities Enterprise, with some travel within service territories.

You will partner with business, strategy and cross-functional leaders to define projects, set objectives, schedule, cost, deliverables and success metrics, and develop integrated plans with milestones.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business, strategy and cross-functional leaders to define major projects and strategic initiatives that align with organizational priorities.
• Establish clear project objectives, scope, cost, schedule, deliverables, success measures, assumptions, constraints, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
• Develop integrated project plans and schedules identifying key activities, milestones, dependencies, decision points, and resource needs.
• Confirm alignment among project objectives, business requirements, regulatory commitments, and expected outcomes.
• Lead assigned projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks, issues, changes, decisions, and dependencies.
• Establish appropriate project controls and maintain accurate, timely project documentation.
• Monitor project performance, evaluate variances, and lead the development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Apply established governance frameworks and stage-gate requirements to support effective oversight, quality assurance, and timely decision-making.

Washington Gas has an immediate openings for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of high-impact strategic initiatives and major infrastructure projects. This role will support manage projects across our U.S. Utilities Enterprise and require some travel within our service territories.

You Will

Project Definition and Execution Planning
