Job summary

WSP is seeking a Wetland Delineator/Environmental Scientist for multiple Midwest offices, including Cincinnati. You will support infrastructure, utility and renewable energy projects with a focus on wetland delineations and habitat assessments.

You’ll work with environmental professionals to collect data, prepare reports, and liaise with agencies while delivering high quality work and adhering to safety policies. This position requires field time and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience conducting wetland delineations and stream assessments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology or related field.
• Familiarity with USACE wetland data forms, ORAM wetland data forms, and QHEI/HHEI forms.
• Experience with GPS field data collection.
• Plant identification of Midwest vegetation.
• Willingness to learn and implement various field methods for data collection.
• Proficient with data management, organization and MS Office Suite.
• Attention to timely completion of high‑quality work in fast paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of wetland delineations and stream assessments.
• Lead wetland field team activities in line with USACE manuals and regional supplements.
• Operate GPS to collect field data and map habitat types.
• Support field logistics, equipment preparation, Safe Work Plans and data mapping.
• Perform data entry, data analysis and report compilation.
• Coordinate with USFWS, USACE, OEPA, ODNR and other agencies.
• Assist and lead preparation of wetland delineation reports and permit applications.
• Field work may require long hours and physical effort.
