Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation in California is seeking a Western Region Sales Manager to grow Fire sales and meet regional objectives. You will lead the sales effort to develop new Fire opportunities and monitor market trends.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years in Automotive, Fleet or Fire Dept sales, and willingness to travel. Strong communication and Spanish language skills are a plus, with a company car, cell phone and travel expenses provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.
• Five years' experience in Automotive, Fleet and/or Fire Department sales.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Working knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet plus strong customer issue troubleshooting capabilities using multiple channels.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effective written and verbal communication to diverse audiences.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to obtain new business and sales quota.
• Communicate with business unit personnel about market conditions, pricing, product mix, and delivery issues.
• Respond promptly to competitive and market opportunities and to distributor/dealer/OEM/end-user inquiries.
• Develop and implement an annual sales plan.
• Coordinate participation in local, state, regional and national trade shows.
• Forecast sales by product monthly to align production and delivery.
• Maintain distributor agreements and market coverage documentation.
• Support the factory and sales reps with timely information and pricing.
• Manage quotations within territory to ensure margins.
• Monitor deadlines for reports and forecasts.
