Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is hiring a dishwasher/kitchen helper in Surfside, FL. You will ensure clean and sanitized dishware, maintain a tidy kitchen, and support opening and closing duties with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires standing most of the shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following Florida sanitation standards. A food safety certification is required to perform duties and advance within the team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift.
• Work in damp, high temperature environment.
• Handle hot surfaces and sharp utensils safely.
• Complete and pass food safety certification per policy.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Washes and sanitizes dishware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils per policy.
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness including floors and surfaces.
• Performs prep tasks, opening/closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
