Job summary

The YMCA in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time lifeguard to supervise the pool during Weekdays (Monday–Friday, 9-5pm) with flexible hours. Starting pay is $16.00/hour, and a free YMCA membership is included.

Join a team focused on safety and positive member interactions and gain valuable experience while saving lives. Ideal candidates hold current Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certifications and are at least 15 years old.

Qualifications

• Current Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid certification
• Must be 15 years of age or older
• Ability to demonstrate lifeguard skills per YMCA standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff and supervisors

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and monitor pool area
• Create positive relationships with members
• Respond to emergencies and perform lifeguard duties
• Maintain readiness and physical fitness
