Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards aged 18+ to supervise pool activity, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies. You will develop leadership and communication skills while serving the local community.

Weekend availability is required, and you’ll enjoy a free YMCA membership, flexible schedules, and discounts on child care and summer camp programs as part of the team.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills
• Age 18+
• Weekend availability is a must

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
