Job summary

Ensign Drilling in West Texas seeks an experienced Drill Pipe & BOP Specialist to manage drill pipe, tubular equipment, BOPs, and related well-control assets across the region.

You will coordinate inspections, maintenance, certifications, inventory, and collaboration with field operations, supply chain, and third-party providers to ensure equipment is properly maintained, tracked, and ready for safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years drilling rig experience preferred (Driller or Derrickman).
• Knowledge of the DS-1 inspection standard including categories, methods and criteria.
• Knowledge of API 16A standard for BOP equipment, including ram/annular types and testing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and control equipment inventory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspection, maintenance, repairs, and certification for drill pipe and tubular equipment across sites.
• Coordinate inspections, maintenance, and certification for BOPs and related well-control equipment.
• Maintain equipment records, track deadlines, and manage inventory across Texas operations.
