Job summary

Western Midstream in the West Texas Region is seeking a Mechanic on the rotating shift to ensure the reliability and efficiency of rotating equipment. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment such as natural gas engines, compressors, pumps, valves, and actuators, while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will work with a team to perform preventative and corrective maintenance, read technical manuals, and keep detailed equipment records using

Qualifications

• Oil and gas production facilities experience required.
• Strong knowledge of gas engines and compressors; maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ariel reciprocating compressors, Cat 3500/3600 engines, Waukesha 275 engines, and screw compressors.
• Basic proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain, repair, and install equipment including gas engines, compressors, pumps, valves, and actuators.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Read manuals and specifications to perform timely repairs.
• Maintain equipment records using computerized maintenance programs.
• Oversee work by third parties on construction or maintenance.
• Keep work areas clean and well organized.
• Respond to call-outs for maintenance, relief, and emergencies.
