Job summary

Western Midstream is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenace Technician based in West Texas to join the Plant Maintenance Team. You will ensure reliability and efficiency of rotating equipment across our facilities.

The role covers maintenance and repair of gas engines, reciprocating compressors, pumps, valves, and actuators, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance, documentation, and coordination with third parties. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in oil and gas production facilities.
• Strong knowledge of gas engines and compressors.
• Experience with Ariel reciprocating compressors, Cat 3500 & 3600 engines, Waukesha 275 engines, various pumps, GEA or Frick screw compressors, turbo expanders, air compressors, and other cryogenic plant equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Word and Excel).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install plant equipment including engines, compressors, pumps, valves, and actuators.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Read manuals, specs, and procedures to perform accurate repairs.
• Maintain records using computerized maintenance programs.
• Oversee third-party construction/maintenance work.
• Respond to call-outs for maintenance and emergencies.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and follow safety regulations.
