Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking an Area Director, Strategic Accounts for the Western United States (TX, CA, CO, AZ). The role leads a high-performing team of SALs, driving adoption and access for Journavx across health systems and service lines.

You will partner with account leadership to develop strategic plans, navigate complex P&T and formulary processes, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across the matrix to achieve outcomes that align with Vertex values and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals in market access, strategic accounts, sales, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• 5+ years of account management with IDNs and health systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Strategic Account Management team in the Western US.
• Partner with SALs to establish strategic business plans, tactics and metrics.
• Collaborate with the commercial sales organization to execute pull-through tactics.
• Engage health systems leadership, pharmacy teams, formulary decision makers and stakeholders to drive product uptake.
• Coordinate engagement across matrix teams to ensure compliant execution and alignment.
• Monitor area performance and provide direction to optimize execution and results.
• Model ethics and compliance to uphold Vertex values.
