Job summary

Draper and Kramer, Incorporated is seeking a Property Manager for the West Loop area of Chicago. You will manage property operations, staff, and financial reporting to achieve the property’s objectives and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.

Responsibilities include resident relations, financial statement reviews, variance analysis, and supervising staff and vendors. A four-year multifamily management background, industry certifications, and MS-Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience in multifamily property management is required.
• ARM or CPM certification or professional equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with MS-Office at an intermediate level (Word, Excel, Outlook); basic PowerPoint and Access.
• Ability to respond in an emergency and perform accounting/administrative functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service for all residents
• Develop and maintain open lines of communications with residents
• Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and completeness
• Analyze variances, identify risks and opportunities, and propose corrective actions
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for decision-making
• Hire, supervise and train staff to meet operational goals
• Conduct staff performance reviews and manage payroll-related tasks
• Ensure timely maintenance responses and keep residents informed
• Maintain records of management activities and financial transactions
• Supervise contractors and manage vendor relations
• Oversee move-ins/outs, lease renewals, and rent collection
