Job summary

Merck seeks a Regional Sales Director (DCO) for the West Region to lead District Managers and field sales reps, delivering immunology products with a strong focus on payer access and patient outcomes. This remote role requires travel up to 50% and a track record of building high-performing teams.

The candidate should have a BA/BS with 10+ years in pharma sales/marketing, plus 3+ years of people management and customer relationship experience. MBA or MS is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; 10+ years in sales, marketing, or managed care within pharma.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• 3+ years building and managing customer relationships.
• Resident of the West US region with up to 50% travel (incl. overnight).
• Experience developing regional strategic business plans and omnichannel strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team.
• Own customer portfolio and ensure trusted communications across all touchpoints.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and industry thought leaders to support strategy.
• Align account plans with payer and managed-care considerations to optimize access.
• Deliver regional results and meet regional P&L targets.
• Provide input to annual financial goals for the region.
