Job summary

STV is seeking a Transportation Design Services Leader in West Florida to grow and develop the transportation design practice across the West Florida market. You will recruit and mentor a multidisciplinary team while delivering high-quality, client-focused highway and bridge projects.

You will serve as a senior client-facing leader, driving business development, managing key relationships with FDOT and local governments, and guiding project delivery excellence across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Florida PE license required.
• 12+ years of experience in transportation and roadway or bridge design.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and win transportation engineering work.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary transportation projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of FDOT design standards and project development processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow a roadway and transportation design practice within the West Florida market.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing transportation design professionals.
• Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for highway, bridge, complete streets, multimodal projects.
• Coordinate with planning, traffic, structures, environmental, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with FDOT District 7, local governments, MPOs/TPOs, and transportation authorities.
