Job summary

ASCAP, based in Los Angeles, seeks a VP, Creative Membership to champion and advocate for its diverse creator community on the West Coast. Lead high-profile member outreach, recruit and retain top talent, and build a strong network with labels, publishers, lawyers, managers, and other industry stakeholders.

The role reports to the EVP, Head of Creative Membership in New York, and requires in-office presence per ASCAP policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in relevant field (Music Business/Business Administration/Communications/Marketing) or equivalent.
• 10+ years progressive leadership in music industry.
• Deep West Coast network across licensing, publishing, labels.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with West Coast creators, publishers, and industry stakeholders.
• Serve as primary ASCAP contact for high-profile members, resolving inquiries with diplomacy.
• Lead and develop the West Coast Membership team and coordinate cross-functionally across ASCAP.
• Represent ASCAP at industry events to elevate creator-first value proposition.
• Analyze market trends and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
