Job summary

Enza Zaden seeks a Sales Manager, West Coast, ideally based in Salinas, CA, to lead a 4–5 person sales team and drive growth across the western United States. You will partner with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Seed Operations, and Customer Service to deliver value and support long-term growth strategies.

You will manage key accounts, forecast and budget, set pricing strategies, and negotiate complex contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within agriculture, horticulture, seed, produce, or a related industry.
• Experience leading teams and developing employees in a customer-facing commercial environment.
• Demonstrated success managing key accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4–5 sales professionals with a focus on accountability and customer focus.
• Drive achievement of team sales targets and new business development; oversee profitability, forecasting, budgeting and pricing strategies.
• Develop and monitor tactical sales and customer plans in collaboration with Product Management and Marketing.
• Build and maintain relationships with growers, dealers, distributors, and strategic customers; lead negotiations and proposals.
