Job summary

Enza Zaden, an international vegetable breeder, is hiring a Sales Manager, West Coast in Salinas, CA. You will lead a 4–5 person sales team, grow key accounts, and drive revenue growth across the western United States.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, Seed Operations, and Customer Service to deliver value. You will manage profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategies while building lasting relationships with growers, dealers, and distributors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of sales leadership experience in agriculture, horticulture, seed, produce, or related industry.
• Experience leading teams and developing employees in a customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to manage key accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4–5 employees.
• Drive achievement of team sales targets and new business development.
• Oversee profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing for the market.
• Develop and monitor tactical sales and customer plans with Product Management/Marketing.
• Build strong relationships with growers, dealers, distributors, and strategic customers.
• Lead negotiations, presentations, and commercial proposals to achieve outcomes.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
