Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks a Regional Sales Manager for the West Coast to drive revenue growth in municipal water and wastewater markets. The role oversees a network of manufacturer’s representatives, influences specifications, and delivers profitable growth aligned with pricing and margin objectives.

The candidate should have 5+ years of technical sales in this sector, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of sales or technical sales in municipal water/wastewater sector; valve experience preferred.
• Experience managing manufacturer’s representative firms.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute regional sales strategy to achieve revenue, market share, and gross margin objectives.
• Manage network of manufacturer’s representatives; coach and train.
• Influence project specifications by calling on engineers, municipalities, and utilities.
• Lead and support product presentations, lunch-and-learns, and technical training sessions for engineers, reps, and end users.
• Provide front-line application engineering and product selection support with internal engineering resources.
• Identify, qualify, and manage sales opportunities from specification through award.
• Collaborate with inside sales to develop competitive project quotations aligning with regional goals.
• Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasts, and activity tracking in Salesforce.
• Develop relationships with regional stakeholders including engineers, municipalities, contractors, and distributors.
