Job summary

Your Talent Team seeks a Regional Sales Manager for the West Coast to drive growth in municipal water and wastewater markets. You will lead a network of manufacturer representatives, influence specifications, and collaborate with engineers and inside sales to win profitable projects.

You will travel up to 50%, forecast using Salesforce, and build strong relationships with engineers, municipalities, and distributors while achieving revenue and margin targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of sales or technical sales experience in municipal water and/or wastewater industry; valve or process equipment experience preferred.
• Experience with manufacturer's representative firms.
• Understanding of municipal project lifecycle (specifications, bidding, procurement).
• Ability to influence specifications and build credibility with consulting engineers.
• Strong technical aptitude to understand product applications.
• Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales forecasting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 50%).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue, market share, and gross margin objectives.
• Manage, coach, and develop a network of manufacturer's representative firms; set expectations and provide training.
• Influence project specifications by calling on consulting engineers, municipalities, and utilities.
• Lead product presentations, lunch-and-learns, and technical training for engineers, reps, and end users.
• Provide front-line application engineering and product selection support with internal resources.
• Identify, qualify, and manage opportunities from specification through award.
• Collaborate with inside sales for competitive project quotations aligned to regional goals.
• Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasts, and activity tracking in Salesforce.
• Develop relationships with regional engineers, municipal decision-makers, contractors, and distributors.
• Monitor market trends and provide feedback to management.
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
