Job summary

Meade, a full-service design firm in Tempe, AZ, seeks an Associate Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our electrical practice across mission-critical and large-scale infrastructure projects. The role oversees technical delivery, sets standards, and mentors a team of engineers and designers on-site in Arizona.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in electrical engineering, strong leadership, a PE license, and deep expertise in power distribution, UPS, generators, and code compliance

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering with data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years in a leadership role with budgets and operations.
• PE license strongly preferred; familiarity with NEC/IEEE/NFPA.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and priorities for electrical engineering across projects.
• Lead teams to deliver safe, reliable electrical systems on time and budget.
• Review designs, calculations, and specifications for power distribution.
• Enforce QA/QC standards and technical guidelines.
• Partner with other disciplines and clients to align electrical strategy.
• Mentor engineers and designers and support recruiting.
• Track performance metrics and drive technology adoption.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and safety requirements.
