Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Program Director for West Coast Operations (San Diego, CA) to lead a complex U.S. Navy, DoD, and federal program portfolio.

The role covers portfolio-level leadership, financial accountability, customer engagement, governance, and growth across multiple programs. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end portfolio outcomes, including execution, risk management, and growth contributions while driving organic opportunities and ensuring contractual performance.

Qualifications

• Leadership of complex DoD/federal programs
• Ability to manage portfolio-level outcomes and P&L
• Strong customer relationship skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a DoD portfolio with P&L >$75M and 75+ staff.
• Oversee Program Managers and teams on modernization and sustainment projects.
• Drive portfolio profitability and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure CPARS ratings are Satisfactory or above.
• Communicate status to customers and leadership; identify growth opportunities.
• Provide recommended solutions and drive corrective actions.
