Job summary

Market Performance Group (MPG) is seeking a West Coast Sales Manager to lead strategic account growth with top regional customers. You will drive sales, distribution, and market penetration while aligning client goals with MPG’s objectives.

You’ll leverage POS, IRI/Nielsen data, and trade investments to deliver fact-based recommendations. The role requires strong communication, and a proven track record on the West Coast retail scene.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large West Coast retailers for a CPG broker or manufacturer.
• Background in trade marketing or brand marketing is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills: extract key insights from data.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix organization and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Establish robust short-term and long-term objectives for key customers and strategies to meet goals.
• Ensure customer objectives align with client goals.
• Meet all client and customer objectives within budgeted trade investments.
• Set and achieve specific MBOs aligned with company and client goals.
• Develop proactive communication with clients, customers and management.
• Convey information in real time with supporting facts and options.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and trade investment projections monthly in BesTrax.
• Leverage POS and syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) to craft data-driven proposals.
• Collaborate with MPG team to achieve client intimacy and company goals.
