Job summary

Perle is hiring a freelance Welsh transcriptionist to produce clean, accurate transcripts of two-speaker Welsh audio with speaker labels and timestamps. The role is remote and flexible, with a commitment of around four hours per day and rolling onboarding after a qualification test.

You will work independently to meet daily output targets, ensuring high accuracy and low error rates, while using a computer with a stable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Welsh (spoken and written)
• Strong written Welsh—accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar
• Ability to work independently and meet daily output targets
• Access to a computer with a stable internet connection
• Availability for at least 4 hours per day
• Must pass a qualification test

Responsibilities

• Listen to 2-speaker audio recordings in Welsh
• Type out transcripts accurately and completely
• Label each speaker turn as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2
• Add timestamps at the start of each speaker turn (HH:MM:SS)
• Ensure transcripts are sequential with no gaps
