Job summary

Palm Beach Tan is seeking a Manager in Training to work alongside the Store Manager and learn how to coach a high-energy team, hit goals, and run a successful salon. You will be mentored to build leadership and operational skills in a welcoming, team-oriented environment.

Your path includes hands-on training, goal setting, and progression toward the Store Manager role, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement in a fast-growing wellness-focused brand.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to motivate others
• Basic computer and POS skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to be on your feet 7+ hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with your Store Manager to learn how to run a great salon
• Learn to lead and coach our Wellness Consultants and Salon Support team
• Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop great people
• Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training
• Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses
• Deliver the kind of customer service that keeps clients coming back, and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally
• Keep the salon clean, stocked, and running smoothly, and make sure it meets health department standards
• Help plan and carry out local promotions that grow your store’s sales
• Learn to handle the salon’s cash, deposits, and customer card data securely (PCI security training included)
