Job summary

Palm Beach Tan is hiring a Manager in Training to work side by side with the Store Manager and learn how to coach a high-energy team, hit goals, and run a successful salon. You will gain hands-on training, access to commission, and opportunities for advancement, with a welcoming, team-oriented culture that makes it a great place to build a career.

The role includes learning to recruit and develop staff, manage labor and costs, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to motivate others.
• Basic computer and POS skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to be on your feet 7+ hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work side by side with your Store Manager to learn how to run a great salon.
• Learn to lead and coach our Wellness Consultants and Salon Support team.
• Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop great people.
• Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
• Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
• Deliver the kind of customer service that keeps clients coming back, and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Keep the salon clean, stocked, and running smoothly, and make sure it meets health department standards.
• Help plan and carry out local promotions that grow your store’s sales.
• Learn to handle the salon’s cash, deposits, and customer card data securely (PCI security training included)
