Job summary

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) seeks a Wellness & Recreation Assistant to manage recreation and wellness programs, including events, across all SCADD programs in southeastern Connecticut.

You will help coordinate activities across the continuum, promote client socialization and development, schedule facilities, set up equipment, and maintain safety and sanitation while collaborating with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Associate's degree in recreation management, physical education or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement recreation and wellness activities and events for all SCADD programs.
• Promote client socialization, growth, learning and development through diverse activities.
• Schedule facilities and manage equipment use while ensuring safety and sanitation.
• Provide feedback to clinical team on client motivation and participation.
• Maintain program schedules and assist with discharge planning readiness.
