Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s Stow Health and Wellness Center is seeking a LifeStyles Lead to coordinate Group Exercise programs and lead classes to enhance member health and engagement.

Primary duties include teaching exercise classes, supporting scheduling across multiple locations, and driving program quality. This role offers leadership development within a top healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) with AED Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Certifications from nationally recognized certifying body that encompasses the overall basics for all formats
• One year of experience in assigned area
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and personnel management
• Excellent communication and customer service-related skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in the work activities of the caregiver in their assigned area.
• Participate in interviewing and training new caregivers.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling caregivers, ordering supplies and covering shifts as needed.
• Help develop, instruct and supervise the quality of programs and services.
• Support maintaining appropriate schedules for all locations.
• Assist in implementing a promotional strategy to generate maximum participation in all activities and programs.
• Assist with LifeStyles Emergency Action Plan (EAP) staff training, CPR/AED training and certification and incident debriefings.
• Conduct regular inspections focusing on safety and cleanliness.
• Provide input to manager for annual department budget.
• Participate in Manager On Duty (MOD) rotation.
