Job summary

The Bloomington-Normal YMCA seeks a Wellness Coordinator to support the Director of Wellness in overseeing wellness and fitness programming, department operations, and the day-to-day success of the Wellness team. This position provides leadership to Wellness Attendants, Personal Trainers, and Instructors while fostering a welcoming member experience.

You will serve on the association’s Operations Team, contributing to cross-department collaboration and effective YMCA operations for the community.

Qualifications

• Experience training and developing staff and volunteers.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Computer literacy including Windows, Excel, Word, email, and database management.
• Strong time management skills.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality programs through innovative program development, evaluation, and ongoing training of staff.
• Facilitate organization, management, and operation of wellness programs.
• Champion a best-in-class program quality and experience across all wellness areas.
• Enforce safety plans and ensure safety standards are followed by team members.
• Assist in expanding programming within the department as defined by the Director of Wellness.
