Job summary

The YMCA seeks a Wellness Director to lead branch healthy living programs, including personal training, group fitness, and health promotion. This role shapes member experiences on the fitness floor and oversees onboarding and program development.

You will manage staff, work with branch leadership, measure impact with data, and guide wellness initiatives while ensuring safety and exceptional service for members, guests, and program participants.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of wellness programming with teens and adults.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Health Science, Recreation or related field.
• Valid personal training certification from NASM, ACE, or ACSM.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for branch healthy living programs and services.
• Educate staff, members, and community participants on wellness benefits.
• Manage a high‑performing staff team and ensure program quality.
• Collaborate with branch management on program development and impact metrics.
• On‑board, train, and supervise wellness staff; ensure excellent member experiences.
