Job summary

Greenbush YMCA is seeking a full-time Wellness Coordinator to lead the branch's Wellness Center, plan and evaluate programs, supervise staff, and support member engagement. This role acts as a department head when the Director is absent, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality wellness services.

The position requires a BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience, plus two years in wellness and current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in wellness or related field.
• Current CPR, First Aid, AED, and wellness certification (YMCA, AFAA, or ACE) required.
• YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of Wellness programs.
• Supervise wellness center staff and facilities.
• Schedule assigned staff and provide orientation and training.
• Provide program support to members and staff.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Promote Wellness Center utilization and equipment effectiveness.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and evaluating new wellness staff.
• Build authentic relationships with members and connect participants with CDYMCA.
