Job summary

SBCS is seeking a part-time Wellness Initiatives Coordinator to plan and execute monthly wellness themes, coordinate with local partners, and secure grants that support student wellbeing. The role involves collaboration with staff and leadership to align activities with the SBCS Wellness Policy and after-school events.

The position requires strong communication, budgeting, and administrative skills, with duties including log keeping, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Start date 09/01/2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; higher degrees preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stay within budget constraints and follow written or oral instructions.
• Confidentiality of student, staff, and family matters is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly wellness themes and set goals for each theme.
• Collaborate with local organizations to build wellness partnerships.
• Seek grants involving wellness initiatives and apply for them.
• Utilize monthly events to increase awareness and attendance.
• Create rubrics to measure initiative success and identify growth areas.
• Coordinate with food service providers, insurers, teams, and leaders on health initiatives.
• Organize events that support the SBCS Wellness Policy and recommend revisions.
• Coordinate with existing mental health, recycling, wellness days, and food security programs.
• Maintain logs of hours, communications, and budgeting per event.
• Report progress to the Superintendent on goal achievement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
