Job summary

Independence School District seeks a Wellness Coordinator to drive a district-wide wellness culture within employees, students, and families. The role leads strategic planning, budgeting, and event execution across employee, student, and community health initiatives.

You will develop programs, manage budgets, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote healthy lifestyles and engage participants district-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Wellness required.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a health related field, health and wellness management, or fitness/corporate facility management.
• Personal fitness trainer certification preferred.
• Group exercise certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual Wellness Strategic Plans and Calendar of Events.
• Report quarterly/annually on participation, outcomes, and health improvements.
• Create wellness initiatives/challenges/classes/events for the district.
• Implement and evaluate wellness programming offered to the district.
• Promote and engage employees to participate in the wellness program.
• Plan and manage all district wellness events and annual screenings.
