Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Wellness Nurse (PRN) in South Elgin, IL to support the health and well-being of residents. You will assist community nurses, caregivers, and medication staff to ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence, while maintaining a warm, team-oriented attitude.

The role involves coordinating admissions, ensuring care per plans, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and providers.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN).
• Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred.
• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination of resident admission processes including screening and care needs.
• Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans.
• Medication and treatment administration per physician orders.
• Coordinate care with outside providers including resident physicians.
• Document and report care and resident observations, including significant changes.
• Maintain knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures.
