Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a Wellness Nurse to join our Illinois community in Burr Ridge. The role focuses on ongoing clinical monitoring, assisting with admissions, and coordinating care with physicians and nurses to maintain high standards of resident health and regulatory compliance.

Full-time daytime schedule 6am-2pm, compensation hourly, with benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance and participation in a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current nursing license (LPN or RN) and state registration.
• Three years’ experience in geriatric nursing and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating resident admission process, including screening and assessment.
• Ensure care is delivered per resident care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Coordinate care with outside providers and resident physicians.
• Document care provided and resident observations.
• Maintain knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures.

Job Description

Schedule: Full Time Days 6am-2pm

The Wellness Nurse supports the health and well-being of residents through ongoing clinical monitoring and support, provides assistance to community nurses, caregivers, and medication personnel to help ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence. The ability to work effectively as part of a team with flexibility and adaptability to change and pace of duties while maintaining a warm and encouraging disposition is important.

• Assist in coordination of the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care needs
• Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans
• Medication and treatment administration and ensure medications are administered per physicians’ orders
• Assistance with coordinating care and services with other outside providers including resident physicians
• Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes
• Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for compliance
• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN)
• Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents
