Job summary

The YMCA of South Florida seeks a Healthy Living Coordinator to oversee the group exercise program, staff, and programming, including GX, events, and HLOS when needed, while collaborating with the Sr. Healthy Living Director.

You will coach members on healthy habits, lead staff development, and build relationships with community partners to expand wellness offerings. This role also supports wellness floor operations and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience in health and fitness or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in computer programs (database and MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Seniors Programming with Sr. Healthy Living Director as group exercise coordinator.
• Work minimum floor hours and teach 7–10 classes per week.
• Educate members about the YMCA mission and goals.
• Develop partnerships to lead wellness lectures and health seminars.
• Train group fitness instructors and personal trainers; recruit clients.
• Provide leadership and performance feedback to wellness staff; schedule & supervise.
