Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator to create welcoming environments in YMCA Fitness centers, monitor health and fitness programs, and help members achieve their healthy living goals.

You will assist the Healthy Lifestyles Director, lead program connections among members, coach staff, and handle administrative tasks while upholding the YMCA core values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field preferred.
• Certifications in Strength and Conditioning or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment in YMCA program areas and greet members by name.
• Proactively connect with members to support their healthy living goals.
• Demonstrate proper form and supervise exercises to ensure safety.
• Monitor equipment and keep the fitness area clean.
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, and administrative tasks as assigned.
