Job summary

YMCA of Greater Montgomery is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to coordinate and execute the Group Exercise program under the supervision of the Senior Program Director. The role includes supervising Wellness Department staff, engaging members, and conducting fitness evaluations and orientations at our facility.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ensuring clean, safe fitness areas, and assisting with staff scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with fitness training, or 3–6 months related experience.
• Current CPR certification or within 30 days of hire
• Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens trainings

Responsibilities

• Create a caring, friendly, fun, and safe environment for members.
• Instruct members in fitness orientations and provide feedback.
• Perform light maintenance on the fitness floor and keep areas organized.
• Schedule Wellness staff and manage assigned hours.
• Read and enforce emergency procedures and YMCA policies.
• Engage members and conduct fitness evaluations and wellness orientations.
• Report any questions or problems to supervisor.
