Job summary

Armed Services YMCA National Headquarters is seeking a Fitness Supervisor for the Wellness Center. The role focuses on supervising fitness and program activities, communicating with members, and promoting health options within the facility.

You will participate in trainings and staff meetings, uphold ASYMCA core values, and support events and distributions. The position requires engaging with members, leading activities, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and maintaining a positive branch

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must complete all training deemed necessary by the organization.
• State Police Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

• Supervise Fitness and Program activities in the Wellness Center.
• Inform members of current health and wellness options within the facility.
• Conduct Member orientation appointments; supervise Members who are exercising.
• Communicate effectively with members and guests.
• Lead fitness and sports activities as needed.
• Monitor fitness and program areas; ensure studios are secured and equipment is clean.
• Adhere to department and facility policies and procedures.
• Redirect minors underage to use the fitness floor appropriately.
• Notify custodial staff when areas need attention.
• Assist in maintaining a branch retention rate of 60% or better.
• Be available to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Fitness and Sports.
• Assist with food distributions (lift up to 60 lbs).
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Fitness or Fitness coordinator
