Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring a Wellness Coach to join our team and help members achieve healthier lifestyles. On a busy fitness floor, you will engage members, teach basic equipment use, and maintain a clean, safe space while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all abilities.

We value a strong, positive presence and a passion for connecting with members. This is a full-time on-site role with benefits and growth opportunities within a nonprofit community-focused organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Fitness experience preferred.
• Enjoy working with people on a fitness floor.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Team player with a positive presence and passion for connecting with members.

Responsibilities

• Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience.
• Build strong relationships with members to help them achieve their fitness goals.
• Maintain a healthy, clean fitness floor.
• Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members using fitness and wellness programs and services.
• Have an understanding and provide basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.
