Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring a Wellness Coach to join our team in the Y. The role focuses on connecting people to healthier lifestyles, assisting them on equipment, and ensuring a safe, welcoming fitness floor.

You will help members feel comfortable, teach basic equipment usage, and contribute to a positive community impact. The position emphasizes customer interaction and teamwork, with opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in a non-profit mission that strengthens the community.

• Fitness experience preferred.
• Enjoy working with people on a fitness floor.
• Team player with a positive presence and passion for connecting with members.

Responsibilities

• Engage members to foster a safe and rewarding fitness experience.
• Build strong relationships with members and guests to facilitate their fitness goals.
• Maintain a healthy, safe, and clean fitness floor.
• Provide a friendly and encouraging environment for members using fitness programs.
• Offer basic information to members on exercising and health and wellness.

Full Time, Hourly; Monday-Sunday Afternoons and Evenings | $15.00-$17.00

What is needed for this job:

• High School degree or equivalent
• Fitness experience preferred
• Enjoyment from working with people on a fitness floor
• Excitement about helping members learn new equipment
• Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members and building relationships
